Description for luxury vehicle Indian Chief motorcycle 1947

1947 Indian Chief
This is a fully-functional high-end classic with nothing needed.

Rebuilt in 2013-14.
Has had less than 10 hours of use since.
Murray Morell crank rebuild.
Complete top-end overhaul. Front end rebuilt.
Running a modern alternator/regulator set that looks original.
Original generator included.
Ray Drever paint (the best) with a couple of minor scuffs and chips.
Period quick-detach windscreen.
Custom twin-leading shoe front brake, which means it stops. (Original set comes with it.)
No expense spared on setting it up.
Project was done by Union Jack Motorcycles - which (despite the name) has a very good Indian history.

Engine is stock, which means it's easy to start and fuss-free.
Handles well as all the suspension is serviced.
Running good rubber.
Will happily hold 70mph on the highway.

1947 is the year that Polaris (current Indian factory) identified as the year it targeted when it styled its current Chiefs.

An absolute stunner of a bike but I'm not using it.
It's been great fun.

Questions and inspection welcome. Tel 0411 123 059

Retail value is $45-50k - reserve is set below that.
