Description for luxury vehicle Ducati Multistrada 1200S Touring D|Air Skyhook 2015 15 reg 6300 miles D-Air DAir

6300 miles. Exceptional condition – no furry bolts, just
serviced and never been dropped! Fitted with factory driving lights from new.
Datatagged, keyless ignition, heated grips. Also fitted with Givi tank ring and
one off custom made sat nav holder which positions the unit closer to your line
of sight but without interfering with the screen adjuster.

If you know your Multistradas you’ll know this is the Mk2
1200S, which has the fully electronic suspension with electronic damping
control, and the twin spark Testrastretta engine which makes it much smoother
below 3000rpm (although since it’s a twin, it’s still lumpy).

As the Touring model it comes standard with colour matched
panniers (looks just as good with them fitted as removed), heated grips and a
very useful centre stand (onto which it’s so easy to get).

The D|Air is an enhancement which incorporates a system
jointly developed by Ducati and Dainese. It works in conjunction with Dainese’s
range of airbag jackets which are each fitted with one of two SIM cards
supplied with the bike (it will operate both driver and passenger jackets).
When the bike’s electronics sense an impending crash, its system triggers the
air bags using the SIM card connection, thus inflating them before you hit the
ground. I’d recently bought a (non airbag equipped) Dainese jacket, so haven’t
used the system and the SIM cards are still in the handbook folder.

I have replaced the standard Pirelli Scorpion dual purpose
tyres with the same Pirelli Angel GTs as fitted to the Multistrada GT (the rear
tyre is specific to this model).

It’s had one previous owner to me – a guy who bought it on
spec, and after 33 miles decided it wasn’t for him (he’d always had BMW K series
bikes) so I bought it when it was a month old and have enjoyed it for the last
year, including a 10 day tour of Spain and France.

She’s a pampered girl, never taken out when there’s a chance
of grit on the road and always garaged and washed at the weekend after use.

My washing process takes an hour and involves 8 stages – fly
squash spray, rinse the bikes, cover with Muck Off bike cleaner, wash with a
sponge and hot water, rinse off, blow dry (yes, with a garden leaf blower to
make sure I get moisture out of all the nooks and crannies to prevent corrosion
setting it), spray with Scottoiler FS365, rub in with a damp cloth.

There are a few tiny (and I mean tiny) marks from stones –
certainly no more than to be expected from a bike that’s covered 6000 miles,
and a scratch to the left hand pannier (on the black plastic, not the painted
panel) when a mate dropped his bike onto my pannier when we pulled up.
Otherwise it’s perfect. Just had it’s frist annual service (on time rather than
mileage) at JHP Ducati in Coventry where is also had it’s 1000km service.

There’s no outstanding finance on the bike.

Reason for Sale? Well to me bikes are toys – an unnecessary
but pleasurable activity. I have them when I have spare cash, but they’re the
first things to go when I need funds for something else. We’re buying a new
house now, and I’d rather have the cash than have the extra on the mortgage!
